Why we need stricter sentences

Last Sunday six people were brutally slain in Memphis.  And the suspect just got out of prison FOR MURDER!  He should never have been allowed out of prison in the first place and now six more people are dead and three children are in the hospital.  The attacker, Jessie L. Dotson, 33, went to his brother’s house and during an argument shot and killed him.  After killing his brother, he shot 8 more people because they had witnessed the slaying killing 5 of them, including 2 children.  The children were stabbed and bludgeoned. This scum should not have been on the streets.  He was released from prison in January after serving 14 years for second degree murder.  The DA, Bill Gibbons, said that his office has not decided whether or not to seek the death penalty.  They should be deciding what type of bullet to put behind his ear.  I hope he gets what he deserves.  This is just another case of a repeat offender that should not have been out on the streets.
